Dr. Majd in his book titled “ the great famine” reports that a British
Soldier in his dairy during World War I (1914-1918). And during Ahmad Shah Qajar time, writes:
I witnessed an Iranian at the corner of road had bunch of grasses in his hand had died of hunger. It seemed he was also content with some grass to satisfy his hunger. Dr Majd further continues:
Francis White an American diplomat during the same time (1914-1918) traveled to Iran. He writes in his diary.
“I witnessed an Iranian child was fighting with a dog for piece of food in garbage”
At that time no one care about Iran, or Iranian or even was considering traveling to Iran. While British would enjoy a prosperous life, from revenue of Iranian oil, Iranian were dieing from famine and hunger.
