Iran is one of the oldest Countries in the world. Not only does it have a rich history, it may also be home to some of the finest artwork the world has ever seen. The Country is known for its literature, music, architecture, painting, calligraphy, pottery, and other known art forms. The popular poems of “Omar Khayyam” and “Molana Rumi” are known to many people worldwide and have been translated into several languages.
Despite having the most hospitable people in the world, unfortunately, the women of Iran have seen nothing but dictatorship from the men of their Country. There is no denying that Iran has evolved significantly throughout history, courtesy of globalization and change in extremist mindset. However, despite a progressive mindset, the Country still hasn’t moved past the conservative mindset that continues to harm women daily. Hundreds of cases are filed, and numerous incidents are reported where the women of Iran are killed in the name of honor.
